Role & Responsibilities @ Reel

I am Head of Electricity Operations at Reel, focusing on all topics related energy, e.g. I was leading the process of us becoming a certified electricity supplier in Denmark. As well, setting up and running all the operations around serving our customers as an electricity supplier.

Educational background

I studied MSc, Software Engineering at Aalborg University.

Previous experience

My background is deeply rooted in the energy industry with 14+ years of experience. I have filled various roles, designing, creating and applying multiple software products in the energy sector on the Denmark, Skandinavian and German markets. The pricing and contract management application Midas being the core. In recent years I have been a part of Accenture Strategy & Consulting, performing management consulting to utilities with in the area of technology.

⚡️ Why Reel

Reel uniquely combines both tech and electricity, both which I am very passionate about. It’s the first time in my career working directly in an electricity supplier. I like the challenge and possibilities of impacting and shaping our operating model building it from scratch.

Reel is creating a new way of buying electricity to accelerate the renewable energy transition. We are on a mission to empower companies to make a positive difference for climate through the electricity they buy. Reel enables all companies to enter a new type of electricity contract (Power Purchase Agreement) that reduces CO₂ emissions by adding new renewable electricity to the grid.
