Senior Transaction Manager (PPA originator)
Join Reel as Senior Transaction Manager to accelerate the renewable energy transition.
In A Nutshell
Reel is on a mission to build Europe's leading renewable energy platform by solving one of the major challenges of the green transition: connecting renewable supply with corporate demand. We're building the commercial category leader in renewable electricity supply and asset monetization, backed by leading investors and expanding rapidly across Europe.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth energy company at a pivotal moment. As our Senior Transaction Manager, you will join our Power Solutions team. You will take full ownership of your deal pipeline — from identifying and qualifying opportunities to structuring, negotiating, and closing deals.
How You Can Contribute
You'll become a trusted presence in the developer and financing community, working closely with Bjarne, our Head of Power Solutions, Anders, our CCO, and our trading team. Your work will be highly visible and your impact felt directly, while you help shape how we originate, structure, and close deals as we scale.
What You Will Work On
Proactively build and maintain a robust and continuously advancing pipeline of wind, solar, battery, and hybrid projects — including identification, engagement, and qualification of developers and projects
Drive PPA negotiations from early stage through contract signing, developing strong commercial terms, aligning with internal stakeholders, and bringing transactions to close
Maintain our extensive network of renewable energy developers. This requires a high degree of key account management, including preparing customised content and travelling for in-person meetings to ensure strong, ongoing relationships
Represent Reel at industry conferences, strengthening our reputation as a valuable, trustworthy, and innovative counterparty
Continuously help refine Reel's PPA templates and commercial structuring frameworks
Leverage Reel's proprietary tech stack to conduct pricing analyses, translating outputs into actionable commercial recommendations
Collaborate with trading and leadership to align proposals with portfolio strategy and market conditions
Lead financial and commercial evaluation of PPA opportunities with a clear view on risk, return, and long-term value creation
Assess counterparty risk and structure appropriate guarantees and collateral frameworks
Partner closely with trading to optimise capture risk, balancing portfolio exposure and margin contribution
How You Can Thrive In This Role
Our ideal candidate combines several (not necessarily all) of the following:
4–8 years in PPA origination, energy sourcing, development, IPP, or trading
Strong transactional experience with PPAs, balancing agreements, and renewable contracts
Solid understanding of pricing mechanics, profile risk, capture risk, and balancing structures
Strong financial modelling and commercial structuring capabilities
Confident leading contract mark-ups and PPA framework negotiations
Ability to structure win-win deals while taking heed of commercial interests
A track record of establishing your network in the renewable energy community
Credible and trustworthy in front of developers, banks, and senior stakeholders
Clear and persuasive communicator, written and verbal
Sound in your decision-making, even when the full picture isn't clear
Fluency in Danish and/or German is a plus
As a person:
You thrive with accountability while working collaboratively across the team
You are kind at heart and curious by nature
You naturally seek learning and feedback
You know that building something extraordinary with others requires mutual trust and care
About Reel
Reel is building Europe's leading renewable energy platform, solving one of the biggest problems in today's energy markets: matching renewable supply with corporate demand. We're creating a new category by combining renewable energy optimization and electricity supply.
We rethink electricity from first principles to accelerate the shift to a carbon-free energy system — closing the gap between renewable producers and corporate consumers by enabling companies to increase the value of renewable energy, move beyond 'green claims', and achieve verifiable carbon reductions.
Positioned to capture a multi-billion-euro opportunity, Reel is building the commercial category leader in renewable electricity supply and asset monetization. We're backed by leading international investors and expanding rapidly across Europe.
We are a multi-disciplinary team of builders, operators, deal drivers, and climate experts — united by a kindness-first culture and on a shared mission to create Europe's leading platform for renewable energy.
