Energy & RiskRole & Responsibilities @ Reel
As Senior Transaction Manager I will support the Supply team in our effort to build strong and lasting partnerships with renewable energy developers, develop a standardized data framework to improve transparency for the Demand team and reduce the workload for Trading and Flexibility. At least this is my understanding on day 2, I will get back once I learned to describe my tasks with fewer buzzwords.
Educational background
After an initial and unsuccessful attempt at Mathematical Economics, I found my calling in pursuing a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration, specializing in Finance and Accounting at Frankfurt University. Zooming out to incorporate environment and society into my learning, I went to complete a M.A. in International Business and Sustainability at the University of Hamburg, which included a semester abroad at the University of Lapland.
Previous experience
I completed the Finance Track of the Graduate Program at Ørsted and continued my tenure in their Offshore business unit as a Revenue and Compliance Specialist, where I oversaw the market entry of the world’s then-2nd largest offshore wind farm. I later transitioned into a role as Senior Revenue Manager, coordinating the revenue strategies for both projects in the development and maturation phase, and older wind farms that reached the end of the subsidy phase.
⚡️ Why Reel
Renewable electricity should be available for everyone, and Reel’s promise aligns perfectly with my own vision of how we get there. After six years at a large corporate, I am also looking forward to a work environment that is more respectful to peoples’ time, more valuing of one’s abilities, and more open to dialogue and deliberation.
